EFP (electronic field production) for reality shows requires editing crews to handle a tremendous amount of footage, even more so now with camera resolution continuously advancing. This can create many challenges and complications when editing.
One of the most difficult things for a single workstation to handle footage is that, when the edited video materials are dimmed, all footage from different cameras needs to be copied to the storage connected with the workstation for dimming.
