They also require collaboration on workflow to solve problems they have when connected to a single storage from their workstation. The A16T2-Share is a Thunderbolt storage system with a built-in Thunderbolt switch that provides four Thunderbolt 2.0 ports. Bandwidth for each ports is at 20 Gb and the read\/write performance reaches levels of over 1000 MB\/s, while total performance for the storage devices is 1800 MB\/s.<\/p>\n\n <p>For this project, the workstation for Media Composer was an HP Z840 or Lenovo desktop. The user needs to connect a Thunderbolt 2.0 card (which could be purchased from HP resellers) and a 10m (or 30m or 60m) Thunderbolt cable to the A16T2-Share. With a Mac mini or an HP workstation acting as an MDC server for SAN, each workstation in the Media Composer network can work within the same Ethernet network while connecting to the same Ethernet switch.
