At IBC 2013, Accusys ExaSAN showed 3 levels of storage solutions, DAS, Simple SAN and Enterprise SAN to broadcasting professionals. The PCIe DAS solution attracted many visitors’ sight through its excellent performance. B08S2 connects to a HP Z820 workstation running 4K video playback, the tiny box’s high speed impressed many visitors.

The demonstration of Simple SAN includes an A12S2-PS RAID system, SWF16 switch, SANit File System and two workstations as clients. The PCIe SAN provides better speed than traditional SAN solutions. The HA Appliance is the blueprint of the future ExaSAN’s infrastructure. It will support system mirroring and FC network connections to make the PCIe SAN network safer and bigger.

At the show, we work closely with our strategy partners showing how ExaSAN seamlessly with these applications. At the DAS stand, the B08S2 works as an engine providing high speed to run 4K playback on SGO Mistika. Move rightward, the simple SAN shows the feature of shared storage allowing two workstations do color grading with Blackmagic Design Davinci Resolve simultaneously. Also, one workstation installed Archiware P5 to manage the file backup.

Also, users can find Accusys ExaSAN at Blackmagic Design’s booth. This time, we lend two units of A12S2-PS RAID system for Da Vinci Resolve’s demonstration. The high performance of A12S2-PS can perfectly meet the requirement of Da Vinci Resolve to make the workflow runs smoothly. Black Jones, technical supervisor of Vision2see, was invited to do the demonstration of Resolve 10. Blake has worked with Accusys ExaSAN for over two years, and introduced ExaSAN to Germany and Central Europe market.
