Beijing EMAGE Studio Utilizes the Accusys A16T2-Share to Expedite Editing Workflow

EMAGE studio is a leading post-production house in China that is well-known for producing famous reality shows, such as “Let’s Talk” season one, “Bet On Your Baby,” and “Guinness World Records.”

EFP (electronic field production) for reality shows requires editing crews to handle a tremendous amount of footage, even more so now with camera resolution continuously advancing. This can create many challenges and complications when editing.

One of the most difficult things for a single workstation to handle footage is that, when the edited video materials are dimmed, all footage from different cameras needs to be copied to the storage connected with the workstation for dimming. This requires a significant amount of time as the size and quantity of footage obtained is often times massive.

The Accusys A16T2-Share is a storage solution that allows multiple workstations to share data simultaneously. In the post-production workflow, the client computers are able to access the metadata via thunderbolt 2 cable connection efficiently.

With the A16T2-Share’s unique thunderbolt 2 SAN sharing function, all client computers connected to the central storage are able to save long hours of waiting for footage to be copied while editing.
