Accusys Brings ExaSAN to New Speeds with PCIe 2.0 at Createasphere 2011 Expo

California, October 27, 2011: Accusys Inc. is honoured to be a participant in the Createasphere 2011 Entertainment Technology Expo this year in Burbank California. Accusys will show its extremely capable new member, the A12S2-PS, a high speed PCIe 2.0 to SAS 6Gb solution as well as the Accusys ExaSAN Compact Solution shared storage system all at booth #312 of the Burbank Marriott Convention Center. The A12S2-PS reaches perfection with its high bandwidth high speed PCI Express 2.0 technology as its extremely fast and efficient data transmission method. Different from Fibrechannel and SAS channels, a single PCIe 2.0 X4 channel provides 20Gb bandwidth while maintaining a low latency advantage.

The A12S2-PS also supports a variety of performance optimized functions to provide stability at speeds of approx. 1200MB/s via only 12 drives. Accusys also provides the 6Gb SAS JBOD option for aditional expansion requirements and is compatible with the SW08-Q4 compact switch.

Accusys will show the ExaSAN Compact Solution using two MacPros accessing a single storage volume (two A08S-PS striped) via the SW04-G2 compact switch. Also showcasing the Accusys Xsan 2.0 SAN management software with Mac OS 10.7, the beauty of the ExaSAN Compact Solution is its single storage volume providing 20Gb bandwidth and speeds of approx. 1400MB/s to 4 ~ 8 multiple workstations. The ExaSAN Compact Solution is the most powerful, cost effective, high bandwith SAN solution being shipped today. The small footprint allows easy placement on desk tops, and is totally different from traditional Fibre Channel SAN architecture. It is suitable for 4~8 small size workgroups in collaborative workflows. It provides a total of up to 40Gb bandwidth, 576TB capacity and allows up to 8 editors to access a single storage pool simultaneously.
